Hello there!

Today I took some time to make a post about your questions you just passed on my “ASK” button and I’ve been so delighted to have a glimpse of your brains. So I decided to answer the most frequently asked questions (FAQ’s) in general and in one post. Today I have a hundred ask messages in my inbox and I can’t answer and publish them here because it would be confusing and I don’t want my blog to look like a Question and Answer portion. But I’ll assure you, I read every single one of them and I did tried my best to answer them even in private. But if you do have questions today or in the future, please, never hesitate to ask. I’m no snob kind of guy and you’re not a food that’s why I don’t bite.

So here we go. These are the few FAQ’s I decided to answer today. I tried to make them honest and brief as much as possible as I don’t want this post to turn into a novel or a university thesis or similar to that.

 So let’s begin.

Explain what your blog is all about.

“My blog is a collection of thoughts, a pool of words, emotions, places, and absolutely anything I’ve been on. This blog is not just a reflection of my personality, but also a reflection of other people too, how we see the world right in our own eyes. This blog is a journey. A long road that seemed to be heavy to be traveled alone… Combined with arts, music, and literature, this blog is built in a single foundation… Us.

Are you a photographer?

Technically, no. But I love taking pictures and processed them.

Why JoshMaldito?

”It would be too long and I need a separate post if I would have to explain why. But to make it short, I chose that preppy name as I’ve realized that no matter how much I darkened myself, run away from the good, I would always end up in a light. That’s love. His love.”

How old are you and where do you came from?

”I’m 18 and I’m from the Philippines. Pinoy. A proud Mindanaoan.”

Still studying?

”Yes. A Bio student @ Ateneo de Zamboanga University.”

What programs do you use when you edit?

”I use many editing softwares but most of the time, I use Adobe Photoshop. I prefer the not so latest version (CS3). I sometimes use Photoscape for simple typographies and basic editing. It’s a simple and a common software. You can have them free in their website.”

 What are your favorite books?

”I have lots. I read fiction too but not as great compare to Nonfiction books. I like books from Max Lucado, John Ortberg, C.S Lewis, Alex and Brett Harris and many more. Those stuff.”

What music are you listening too?

”I’m very much diverse when it comes to music. But these are my favorites and influences. John Mayer, Brooke Fraser, The Goo Goo Dolls, Coldplay, Maroon 5, John Legend, UNITED, The Beatles, MLTR, Linkin Park and many more.”

How many followers do you have?

”Technically, I have none. To be honest, I don’t call my followers  “followers”. I call them friends.”

Your blog inspired me so much. What inspires you?

 ”You.”

Where did you get all your ideas?

”Books. Home. Friend. Travels. My guitar. Faith. Pen and Paper. And yes, my favorite brand of cheap brown coffee.”

You’re a “Christian blogger” but also write stuff like “worldly” things / or been surrounded with secular music and art. Do you feel any pressures about it? - Anon *previously published

“Christian-blogger”? I think I would disagree with that label some people have been putting on me. But am I Christian? Absolutely and I’m not ashamed of it! And I guess it have to be this way; I’m a Christian guy who blog and not simply as “Christian-blogger”. I am a Christian long before I became a blogger and I really don’t consider some “branding” on whatever I do and this blog is not just for Christian but for everyone, people in different walks of life. My blogging ability is only my tool, but not my goal. And with the question regarding to tension and pressures, to be honest I’m not really struggling about that. You can’t put what God is doing on this earth into a box… it can’t be summarised into tidy categories. Whatever God is doing through my life, it’s not just about me. I believe the labour of our faith doesn’t just mainly focused on “ religious gatherings or anything that talks about God and Church” but it have to be beyond. And I believed that me talking about art and other stuff is not a way of defaming my Saviour, (and I will never love my art more than I have loved my God) but a way of mine to show how God’s brilliance and creativity have worked upon me, and with that, it’s like taking Church to people who don’t know church…

 Do you sing?

 ”I love music!”

What do you love doing during your free time?

”I love spending time with my family. I read good books. I sleep. I write. Music. Spend some time with my friends in church. Go online and explore certain randomness. I don’t cook or shop a lot.’

 Favorite color?

“White.”

Can I submit some of my stuff?

”Yes, absolutely. My blog is a collected voices, as I’ve said. And I want my blog to be a collaborative experience to everyone who reads it. It would be fun, isn’t it?”

We want to know more of you and contact you for some personal reasons. How?

Aside from this blogging platform, you can also find me here… :)

:: And for the last one.

 Do you follow back?

”Yes, I do. Following is not an issue for me. But I do have certain standards (just like anyone else). There are 3. First, the blog must be honest. Second, the blog must be full of efforts. Third, the blog doesn’t hurt anybody. As simple as that. I really don’t find the designs, the style of writing or anything “good in the eye” a qualification. That is, the blog just need to be real.”

That’s all for now. I’ll try to answer some other Q’s as well.

 Humbled,

 Josh

This was Thanksgiving Sunday. I went to a small resort while scanning some of your Q’s. I really have a bad hair day and I just recovered from a severe Flu, coughing, and a terrible Pharyngitis. Yes, I hate shades. I mean it. Seriously.
